These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Solace ("Solace," "we," "us," or "the app"), operated by David Osipyan ("the operator"). By creating an account or using Solace, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
Solace is a cosmetic skincare app for general informational purposes only. It uses AI to provide a surface-level, cosmetic estimate of your skin from a photo and to suggest skincare products and routines.
Solace is not a medical service. It does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any condition, and it is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always seek the advice of a qualified dermatologist or physician for any skin concern. Never disregard professional medical advice because of something you read in the app.
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your region) to use Solace. By using the app, you confirm that you meet this requirement and that the information you provide is accurate.
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep it up to date. You may delete your account at any time from within the app.
When you take a scan, you give us permission to process and store your photo as described in our Privacy Policy — including sending it to our AI provider for analysis and storing it privately so you can view your progress. You confirm that any photo you submit is of yourself, or that you have permission to submit it, and that it does not violate any law or the rights of others.
Solace may suggest skincare products and link to third-party retailers (such as Sephora, Amazon, or Ulta). We do not sell these products and are not responsible for them, their availability, pricing, or accuracy of listings. Ingredient formulations vary and can change; always read the actual product label before purchasing or using a product, especially regarding allergies.
Solace relies on third-party services including Anthropic (AI analysis) and Supabase (accounts, database, and storage). Your use of the app is also subject to those providers' terms where applicable. We are not responsible for the acts or omissions of third-party providers.
Solace is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any analysis or suggestion will be accurate or suitable for you. Cosmetic findings are estimates and may be incorrect.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operator will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, Solace, including any reliance on its cosmetic estimates or product suggestions.
You may stop using Solace and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms or use the app in a way that could harm other users, the operator, or third parties.
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of Solace after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
